Complying with recommendations from national and international health authorities, Dali has limited all non-essential travel
Menlo Park, California– February 10, 2020 – Dali Wireless, a global leader in wireless fronthaul innovation for virtual RAN has decided to withdraw its attendance from MWC Barcelona amid growing concerns surrounding the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
Dali’s top priority is the health, safety, and wellbeing of its employees, and ecosystem. After numerous internal discussions, Dali has come to the decision to pull-back on their international appearances, for the near term, at events such as MWC, the mobile communications industry’s premier event.
Dali understands and appreciates the efforts GSMA is putting in to limit risk. However, as there is still much unknown regarding the 2019-nCoV, Dali does not feel comfortable sending its employees to a widely attended international event.
“This was not a decision we took lightly, but ultimately, it’s not worth us potentially exposing our employees to health and safety risks, or propagating the spread of the virus with international travel,” said Dr. Albert Lee, CEO. “We have been following the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) announcements and recommendations, and feel that it’s safer to ground all non-essential travel for the time being,” added Dr. Albert Lee.
