Menlo Park, Calif. & Las Vegas, Nev. – March 16, 2016Dali Wireless, Inc., a global provider of the advanced all-digital RF distribution system that transcends Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), will showcase the Dali Matrix™ Public Safety (PS) at the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) 2016 to help public safety operators and system integrators meet today’s voice and data requirements while providing them with a seamless migration path to address evolving public safety broadband requirements of LTE and FirstNet in the U.S.

Public safety agencies around the world are looking at the opportunity to leverage long term evolution (LTE) to be used for public safety communications, which will include data applications. FirstNet is set to bring a nationwide broadband interoperable public safety network for the first responders and other emergency personnel in United States.

The evolution to broadband LTE-based public safety from the current narrowband systems such as P25 Phase I and II, and TETRA will happen gradually. Therefore, a flexible, future-proof and reliable solution is required to satisfy both the current requirements and future, next-gen public safety in-building requirements.

Dali Matrix PS is a next generation solution that transcends the traditional RF-over-fiber analog DAS or Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDAs). With its patented digital signal processing and software re-configurability, Matrix PS enables a unified broadband/narrowband communications infrastructure supporting the interoperability of Land Mobile Radios (LMRs) and broadband systems like LTE and Wi-Fi.

Matrix PS is a simple, modular architecture that combines the functions of off-air channelized BDA and digital DAS to provide clear and distortion-free transmission of radio communication to ensure maximum security and system resilience. It also provides redundancy with automatic switchover and fiber path diversity to ensure that there is no single point of failure to impair the critical communications between the first responders. Matrix PS also enables digital domain channelization to be done remotely using software via the graphical user interface (GUI). With the user friendly GUI, system commissioning and optimization can also be done easily, saving public safety operators and integrators time and cost.

“The solution must be able to support the needs of newer buildings, venues, and other service areas, and to be future-ready so that it can seamlessly adapt to newer bands and protocols,” said Nick Marshall, Research Director at ABI Research. “Dali Matrix PS offers an economical alternative to traditional RF-over-fiber DAS and BDAs in terms of scalability, flexibility and TCO.” As public safety networks mature and expand, Matrix PS allows for additional remotes and antennas to be added without interruption to existing networks. This empowers network operators to easily adapt to changing requirements in FirstNet, and LTE broadband public safety.

Dali Wireless will also be participating on a panel titled “DAS and Small Cells: In the Field with Enterprises and Public Safety” taking place from 3:00 – 4:00pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in room N264. During this panel, Lance Craft, VP of Sales, Americas, will be discussing the commercial and public safety in-building communications requirements and how technology is evolving to meet the current and future requirements. In addition, a case study of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport will also be discussed.

Held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., IWCE 2016 is the authoritative annual event for communications technology professionals. Featuring over 370 exhibitors, the show attracts 7,000+ attendees – from a diverse group of markets including government/military, public safety (law enforcement, fire service, emergency medical & 911), utility, transportation, and enterprise businesses – aiming to learn about the latest products and trends in the industry.

About Dali Wireless

Founded in 2006, Dali Wireless is a global provider of the advanced all-digital RF Router™, the only solution on the market today that can dynamically allocate wireless coverage and capacity. With its revolutionary digital-to-the-antenna radio distribution system, Dali is purpose-built to address today’s challenges of managing indoor wireless data traffic.

As a software-configurable solution, Dali is helping network operators minimize TCO of their network infrastructures. Dali’s solutions deliver the high capacity of a macro cell, the flexible coverage of distributed antenna systems (DAS) with the footprint of a pico cell, and without traditional interference challenges. Dali is technology-, vendor-, and band-agnostic, making it a future-proof solution with applications across virtually all environments including stadiums, arenas, campuses, airports, and tunnels as well as public safety scenarios.
