Dali Wireless® Announces t-Series™ PS Customized to Intelligently Enhance Coverage and Access in...

Public Safety Applications

Menlo Park, Calif. – August 18, 2014 – Dali Wireless, a global provider of the advanced all-digital RF Router® the “Digital-to-the-edge” Intelligent DAS, today announced its t-Series Public Safety (PS) solution to enhance coverage and access in public safety and emergency response environments.

Public safety is highly dependent on the ability of first responders to communicate effectively in emergency situations. The t-Series PS was built from the ground-up to facilitate seamless collaboration and interoperability among single- and multi-agency scenarios. This ensures effective and reliable communication and coordination among first responders within commercial and residential buildings, and public settings such as airports, government establishments, under- and above-ground tunnels, and municipal transportation stations.

Unlike analog or hybrid-digital technologies on the market today, t-Series PS is the world’s only end-to-end all-digital platform. This patented platform is purpose-built to provide seamless coverage and address the proliferation of media-rich applications in public safety such as live video feeds and high-definition camera surveillance. Operating on the frequency bands allocated solely for law enforcement, fire and rescue, and homeland security, t-Series PS provides improved interoperability and economies of scale, allowing for better integration with resource-intensive applications requiring substantially more network resources.

“As evidenced after several recent natural disasters, some public safety systems need greater dependability and resilience to provide basic operability after a serious disaster,” said Shawn Stapleton, Chief Technology Officer at Dali Wireless. “The t-Series PS is addressing the global need for interoperable and highly reliable broadband networks leveraging the latest and most innovative communication technologies for public safety use.”

With end-to-end digital RF signal processing, some of the key differentiators of the t-Series PS include:

• Greater reach without signal degradation and minimal interference; • Transports multiple public safety frequency bands, covering the entire spectrum, over a single fiber; • Public safety data is encrypted and segregated from control and management traffic to ensure maximum security; • Adaptability to changing requirements, including FirstNet, narrowband, and broadband public safety; • Simple and fast deployment with small footprint, flexible topologies and software configurability.

“Public safety communications has generally been considered a matter for state and local public safety agencies, leading to the deployment of many thousands of separate and often incompatible networks, even in the same municipality,” said Al Saxon, Senior Vice President at Vision Technologies, a Dali Wireless partner which provides IT services and solutions to commercial and federal businesses. “With the t-Series PS, Dali is enhancing the role of broadband in public safety and emergency response by helping to create a network architecture to maintain a simple and coherent infrastructure that is reliable and compatible with all agencies."

t-Series PS is a flexible, scalable, software configurable architecture with minimal noise interference. This makes it a dynamic and future-proof solution for mission critical public safety communications. First responders can efficiently address current and future requirements for public safety communications while enabling rapid deployment of communication infrastructures.
