Senior RF Design Engineer
Summary:
The successful RF Engineer candidate will have a
good background in RF and Transceiver board level design, a strong theoretical
system level understanding & practical work experience of system
partitioning issues. Candidate must be highly energetic and have experience
working within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
-
Develop RF sub assemblies for wireless Basestation and
Repeater products from specifications to production.
-
Interface with System, DSP, Firmware and Hardware
Engineers to produce innovative solutions for the wireless CDMA, WCDMA,
TD-SCDMA, GSM and WIMAX Basestation and Repeater markets.
Key Requirements:
-
BSEE with 5-7 Years experience a must, MSc and/or Ph.D.
preferred.
-
Demonstrated experience in analysis, design, and PCB
layout of RF circuits & components for wireless infrastructure equipment.
-
Design, characterization, troubleshooting and
optimization experience of RF power devices & supporting interface
circuity.
-
Design experience with up/down converters, modulators,
IF/RF filters, PLLs, RF splitter/combiner networks, power detectors, RF
switches, & RF device matching.
-
Hands on experience developing RF products from
high-level specs to production.
-
Working knowledge of various OFDM and CDMA based
specifications.
-
Experience of modeling high-level wireless system
performance using tools such as VSS, Excel, Spice, Matlab, MathCAD, ADS.
-
Ability to use the appropriate tools and RF test bench
equipment (Network analyzers, Impedance analyzers, RF probe stations, Spectrum
analyzers, Signal generators).
-
Motivated & proactive attitude coupled with good
ability to work independently or as part of a team.
-
Strong command of written and verbal English.
Desirable Experience:
-
Experience developing Basestation, Repeater RF power
amplifiers using Class AB LDMOS and Class A GaAs Devices and MMICs capable of
transmitting at least 15 Watts average power.

Knowledgeable of linearization & efficiency enhancing
techniques for high power RF amplifiers.
-
Working knowledge of Physical Layer parameters of modern
CDMA, WCDMA & OFDM based communication standards.
-
Wireless Infrastructure Baseband Circuitry and
requirements.
-
Experience with the following is a big plus:
ACPR, ACLR, PA EVM, EM Test Equipment, Device Characterization, Understanding
load-pull measurements, Verification, Circuit modeling, Circuit simulations,
Thermal modeling, PA modules, Harmonic Balance.

The successful RF Power Amplifier Engineer
candidate will have a good background in high power amplifier development board
level design for wireless networks, a strong theoretical system level
understanding & practical work experience of system partitioning issues.
Candidate must be highly energetic and have experience working within
cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:

Develop High Power Amplifier Lineups using GaAs and LDMOS
class A+AB sub assemblies for wireless Basestation and Repeater products from
specifications to production.

Develop Analog Efficiency Enhancement Techniques for High
power amplifiers.
-
Interface with System, RF, Firmware and Hardware
Engineers to produce innovative solutions for the wireless CDMA, WCDMA,
TD-SCDMA, GSM and WIMAX Basestation and Repeater markets.
Key Requirements:
